Question : my baby is 10 months old. he has suddenly woken up from sleep and he%E2%80%99s screaming. last night we fed him fish and dahi vada for the first time in very small quantity. he%E2%80%99s not taking feed and neither is he drinking gripe water. he doesn%E2%80%99t seem to have any temperature.

May be a colic

Detailed Answer:
Hi... I am sorry for his symptom.

it might be small colic which is doing this.

It might also be totally new food item which he might have been given. Usually non vegetarian diet is avoided till one year of age.

There might be some amount of vomiting and diarrhoea which might ensue.

Currently you give Colicaid drops 1ml three times a day.

If there is diarrhoea you can give him syrup ondansetron 2.5 ml 3 times a day.

Keep him well hydrated please.

ok doctor. he cried for an hour and he slept with great difficulty. we got really scared the way he was screaming and crying. he was not taking feed and neither he was having gripe water. we couldnt think of anything at that point in time. in the future we will keep this in mind that we dont feed him non-veg food.
