Question : my gfr level was 205 the other night when i had blood work done. However, my creatine levels and everything else were normal with no protein in urine. What causes gfr level to increase temporarily? no prior hx of kidney disease, etc.

                                    Brief Answer:
Nothing to be worried about it.

Thanks for your query
At the outset I doubt about the report.I have not come across a single patient with such a ugh GFR in my 50 years of practice. It looks to be a technical error in reporting.
As such it is low GFR that is of significance which indicates kidney disease. There is nothing to be worried about even it is higher than normal for your age whic you have not mentioned in your query
Thanks and Regards
