                                            Question : my latest ultra scan report says urinary bladder shows normal shape and wall thickness. it has clear contents. no evidence ofdiverticula. pre void 221 cc and post void 40 cc. is it normal. Prostate is enlarged  in size and measures 4.4*3.6*2.7 cms(vol 23.5 cc).are all these ok . i have been prescribed maxvoid plus 8 .how long should i take this?

                                    Symptoms at times experiencing slight burning sensation after passing urine. Lasts for few minutes. Maxvoid I am taking for the past one month. After medication I feel better. How long should continue this medication. Does maxvoid improve post void residue urine

Since there is slight burning sensation lasting for few minutes after passing urine is present I would advise you the following:
Send the urine sample in a sterile container to lab for routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity.
If the infection is present this will be treated by an appropriate antibiotic for 1 to 2 weeks and your symptoms then may subside.
You can get the Ultrasonography repeated to see for the volume of prostate and well as the amount of PVR that is post void residue to decide whether to continue the medication or no.
As per the last ultrasound reports both the size of prostate and PVR for your age are only marginal so nothing much to worry about.
