Question : my wife is 47 yrs old , she did some work in the yard today. She didn't complain of any problem. We left the house to go to my daughter's kinder graduation. She then said that her right arm was hurting. this cot worse while we were there. at home the pain worsened. It is a sudden sharp upper rt arm pain. now she is saying the pain is constant.

I think she probably did a sudden movement without warning up and possibly overstretched a muscle.
I would like to know where is the part of the arm where is hurting, in the middle of the arm or in the shoulder articulacion and is the movement of arm and shoulder affected.
Taking antinflammatory drugs such advil or acetaminophen for pain is advisable.
Restrict movement and rest.
