Question : on Friday of ladt week, I had sharp pains along with constant pain in my lower abdomen where my ovaries would beif I hadnt had a hydterectomy 30 years ago. The pain worsened so I went to urgent care and saw a nurse practioner. Without examining me, she said I have diverticulitis. She gave me a shot of toreadol and a prescription for ciprofloxin 500 mg. to take twice a day.
I am in more pain today. most of the pain is now on the right and radiates to my lower back and in my upper abdomen. no other symptoms

I understand your concern.

There are many medical conditions that can cause our pain.

It can be recurrent diverticulitis.

Recurrence of acute diverticulitis is very common.

I suggest to do a stool test,a urine test and a an abdominal ultrasound to help through the diagnosis

I also suggest using Buscopan 10 mg three tablets a day to relieve the pain.
