Brief Answer:
Antacid with anesthetic, Prilosec and as advised..

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history well and understood the concerns.
As per the history you have provided, you have a condition called as GERD that is gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Drinking instigates or enhances the problems hence you are not getting better with Ranitidine (Zantec 150) alone.
I would advise you the following in such as situation:
Stop drinking, hot, spicy or oily foods.
Avoid stress and anxiety as this too increases the problems.
Take cold milk, Ice Cream.
Soft liquid diet only.
Get started with Prilosec too.
Take an antacid that is suspension with Aluminium hydroxide and Magnesium hydroxide with a topical local anaesthetic (Oxethazaine), this will helps a lot. You take 3 teaspoonful every three hourly till getting better then only when you are on empty stomach.
Motility regulator like Domperidone or Metoclopramide - I think it will need a valid prescription. Talk to the Chestist.

All these things together will help to get you relief.
Upper GI Endoscopy whenever possible is a must.

I hope this answer helps you.

Take care.

More the pains and any such symptoms indicate towards irritation/inflammation and so on.
