Question : I am 43 and my periods have become very irregular and bleeding often. My GYN put me on Mononessa. It stopped my bleeding after 2 days, but 8 days later I started spotting / light bleeding again. I've now been having light bleeding for 7 days.
How long will it take for Mononessa to regulate my periods so I only bleed once a month?

                                    Brief Answer:
keep taking it
Detailed Answer:
Hello, I understand your health Concerns.
Monessa will take one cycle at least to show its effects.
But keep taking it daily without miss and at same time of the day.
Also I would like to know if you had an ultrasound in last few days, in case you had then please update the report so that I can add in your treatment if required.
Waiting for your response.

Thank you. Yes, I have an ultrasound and an endometrial biopsy, both of which came back showing no problems (except a thicker-than-usual uterine lining of blood) .

                                    Brief Answer:
nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
The thicker endometrium is because of anovulation which is common at your age so nothing to worry about, just keep taking your pills on time and it will be fine soon.
It has the added advantage of contraception also.
Take care.
