The pain in the upper arm muscle that you have can be due to decreased fluid or electrolyte intake or due to side effect of taking lipitor. If you have been taking lipitor for a long time then you can consider stopping it for a while after consulting your cardiologist. Increasing the intake of fluid rich electrolytes and green leafy vegetables will also help.
