Hello, choice of procedure depends upon different factors.

PCNL is preferred if the size of the stone is more than 2cm. RIRS is preferred for smaller stones.
Chance of recurrence is less with PCNL as compared to RIRS.
Hospital stay is generally 2-3 days after PCNL, but less with RIRS.
Post operative complications risk is less with RIRS.
