Brief Answer:
High fiber food like cereals pulses fruits and vegetables.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for your query my dear patient,
Have seen your details and I appreciate your concerns,
As per your query answer is-
Firstly you need a diet rich in fiber to prevent future attack and fast recovery.
Your diet should consists of large amount of fruits like Apple guava plum avacadro dates and large amount of fresh leafy vegetables like lettuce broccoli etc.
You have to include large amount of pulses and different variety of grains in your diet.
Keep your fat and meat intake very limited( it's not going to help).
Now let's move to your question-
1)Rice is simple carbohydrate you can have it. It won't cause any problem neither is it going to help you. Suggestion include fiber rich grains like jowar bajra ragi millets etc.
2)Chicken is not going to help rather too much meat intake is contraindicated in diverticulitis patients. You could use Paneer,Curd ,Milk or whey protein to keep your protein intake at par. Avoid nonveg..You could ear it but 2 times a week is more then enough.
3)Try to include veg and dairy instead of chicken.
4)1 fried samosa a week is ok but not daily.
5)Good choice...Rich in fibers...Could try multigrain also.
6)Again simple carbohydrate won't help you neither will hurt you.
7)Low glycemic index. Why don't you take green veggies sir.
8)It's ok
9)It's ok
10)Peanut butter is not good in diverticulitis...Avoid butter or take Desi ghee.
11)It's ok
12)BRAT-Banana apple toast is good thing to eat when you have pain..Best is to eat khichidi (if suits your regimen).
13)Include more it's rich in fiber include other fruits also..Have bowls of them in morning and evening...Best food for you. Eat a lots and lots of fiber rich fruits and veggies daily.
14)It's good..You can add a spoon of raw honey also.
15)Ok.
16)Avoid non vegetarian food for few months.
17)As suggested above.
18)It's. ok
Question-Why are you eating things boiled or bland?
There is no relation of taste of food with diverticulitis. Who suggested you to take bland/boiled food?
Regards.

Brief Answer:
Follow up.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

I don't think that frying everything is necessary to add taste to food.

Eating bland tasteless food has no role in curing or preventing recurrence of diverticulitis.
You can add the normal amount of spices (whatever suits your palate) to your food.

Please remember an easy to digest fiber-rich diet is all you need whether bland or tasty makes no difference.

Don't fry it but you can add spices etc to it to add taste to food.
Thanks
