Brief Answer:
These symptoms are most likely due to anxiety.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I can understand your problem. Increased heart beat or palpitations, nervousness, feeling of fainting, dizziness etc are most likely occurring due to anxiety. The risk of anxiety increases if there is co-morbid diabetes. The symptoms are also occurring at night during sleep and if these are resulting in waking up in night then this should be evaluated too.

Cardiological workup with ECG should rule out any cardiac condition. But you are 31 and its very unlikely that you have any cardiac issue.

To get relieved of anxiety you should try Progressive muscle relaxation exercises, yoga or breathing exercises. This will help to keep your heart rate down and anxiety will be under control. If these home based measures doesn't result in improvement then medicines will be needed for treatment.

Drugs like SSRIs like Sertraline, Escitalopram, Fluoxetine etc can be taken for sometime. The drugs will help to control your anxiety and you will feel better. Please visit a psychiatrist for prescription.

I'd also advise you to follow some dietary changes. Take foods rich in proteins and complex carbs and low in fats. Take vitamin B12 and Omega 3 Fatty Acid supplements and this will control the anxiety.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Take high protein food.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again

Vitamin B12 is found in animal foods only. Curd, milk, cheese are rich sources of Vitamin B12, if you are not strict vegan then you can have these foods.

Walnuts, hazelnuts are rich sources of Omega Fatty acids. Include at least 10 walnuts daily in diet.

Take high protein foods like paneer or pulses etc. Avoid sugar or excessive sweet foods.

The symptoms will go with dietary changes.

Thanks.
