Question : Hi, I found my 2 year baby playing with cat and she had not scratch or bite, but i am worried if it would have licked her. i rushed to hospital, the doctor suggested 3 does of rabbies vaccine and gave the 1st dose in gluteal region and the second dose is given on day 3 in deltoid region. i am very afraid seeing the sites showing that vaccine should not be given in Gluteal region. please suggest , will this have any impact on my child, i am very much worried

I understand that the first dose was given in gluteal region. Usually it is not recommended for kids. But if 3 days have passed and child is ok , then nothing to worry.
In future if any doctor or nurse tries to give gluteal injections, refuse immediately. Ask them to give in thigh or deltoid.
Your baby should be doing good.
