Hello doctor. I hope you are soing well.
I have a query about some pimles that have come out in the area face. 5 days ago I went to a party with children and soon after coming hope they have showed on my face. Before I had 2 infected pimples. I went to the dermatolog and she was not sure but gave me cetirizne, which I started taking it for 2 days and meanwhile since they seemd to me more folliculities thatn allergy reaction I continued dissinfetcing the area. Today they seem better but have not diassapeared so I went again to the dermatolog and she told me to
Make ultracorten for 3 days. Since I have a 2 month old baby I am affraid that can pass through the milk. I have already had pimples on the tummy if yiu can see from our previous conversation. Please can you give me an advice? Thank you
Sensitive skin
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thank you, doing fine.
Noted the history and seen the photos.
The one showing right side of face is clear and indicative of seborrhoeic dermatitis, a sort of inflammation of the sebaceous glands that also spreads a bit nearby.
Actually it can be contact dermatitis if you have used any local application/makeup before going to party.
Nothing specific may work. You may take Ultracorten if it is of 5 mg. for a few dosages and see for the effects.
Please do not apply anything locally at the moment as the skin of face is very tender particularly after child birth.
Take multivitamins and mineral/continue if you are already taking.
You may apply ice locally to reduce the inflammation.
Please give feedback and post fresh - clear and focused photos after a few days to see for the changes.
Take care.
I have not used any new cream. Can a cream uses before give allergic reaction? The pimples are symmetric and pain at touch.
When they go away they remain as strech.
I sweat a lot at the face due to the hot and cause of hormones I think. May this be the cause? Thank you
As detailed below.
Detailed Answer:
Yes, a cream used before can give sort of reaction.
The stretch that remains indicates that the skin strength, healing capacity is less. Multivitamins, Vitamin A and Vitamin D (to be supplemented if less than normal in blood reports) helps a lot for rejuvenating the skin.
Sweating a lot is an additional reason, applying any cream can block the pores to cause the problem that you have. Better to avoid anything locally. Splashing simple water helps the best in such situation.
Please see that you can avoid hot and humid air/atmosphere.
I hope this answer helps you further.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
You are most welcome.
Detailed Answer:
I think so. You should not use this cream again.
This is usually a mixture of multiple causes as we discussed above: hot atmosphere, postpartum status, sensitive skin, reduced integrity of skin and so on.
Can not say with certainty about whether this is due to allergy or blocked pores or hypersensitivity.
Another question please.
I dont remember which cream it was , should I be affraid to use it in the future? Or this is because of the sensitive skin that I have this peroid of time. Should I be sure that it was allergy? Thank you
May a gold neckless cause this kind of allergy? I am asking cause i wore one new gold neckless.
Can any food cause the allergy?
Thank you
Gold is usually safe
Detailed Answer:
Gold is not known to give skin allergy and a necklace would not five allergy to the facial skin.
The dictum is: anything under the sun including the sun can cause allergy. Hence an additive in food or even any food can cause allergy.
I hope this answer helps you further.
Please feel free to ask further questions and give feedback.
I want to say that today I feel better and the hives are going away.

I am.attaching the photos.
I have taken no.medicin yesterday, only done with water.
Do.you think I shoul make an injection of ultracorten or take cetirizine as long as they have not gone away?
Is there any risk since I dont take medicine?
Thank you
As discussed in details below.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Very happy to see the fresh photos as there is a dramatic improvement.
Wondered to know that you have not taken medicines yesterday - great, you are breast feeding the baby.
I do not think of any risk since you have not taken medication and yet there is improvement, only splashes of water. Please continue it.
Two new ones are small and can be observed and they look more like pimples.
You can wait and watch, medications can be re-started if there is any further problems.
No local application of anything please.
I hope this helps you further.
As detailed below.
Detailed Answer:
Good to know that the face is clear now.
Body temperature of 35 centigrade is two low, please check with thermometer and if need be with another too.
Hashimoto's thyroiditis if not treated can cause this.
I am sure that you are on correct investigations and management.
Please get Free T3, Free T4, TSH done along with other blood tests including anti-thyroid antibody titre. These will give an exact idea about the present status.
Yes, also get cortisol levels.
Please give feedback.
What medications are you taking?
As detailed below.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
Lower body temperature can be due to hypothyroidism that you have.
Although the lab reports are normal it is possible that the dosages of thyroid replacement you are taking may be just short of adequate. Please discuss this with our Doctor.
Also get Ultrasonography of neck for Thyroid in particular. This may help and it is better to re-check thyroid profile within three months of previous check if hypothermia continues. Since you were pregnant and now breastfeeding the baby your actual requirement may be more.
I hope this answer helps you further.
Take care.
Have a great day.
