Abdominal discomfort, mucus and blood in stools suggests an acute or chronic enterocolitis, e.g. salmonella, yersinia or Crohn's disease/ ulcerative colitis. Have you had a colonoscopy or stool samples since our last correspondence?

The risk of cancer depends on your age. If your are under 50, the risk is very small, but increasing with age.

In your particular case, it doesn't sound like cancer.
