Question: My sister seems to have a bacterial infection as she keeps throwing up and has running tummy she can’t seem to keep anything down and she already saw her doctor who run some blood tests and we are still waiting for the blood work. She seems to have acid reflux as the doctor gave her medication for it but what can you recommend to give her to eat that won’t make her throw up

Hi,
I have read query for your sister.

* As per my clinical experience, the issue with her is likely intestine infection.
* For dietary recommendations till the reports are available

- First of all she has to take prescription drug of anti emetic ( as ondancetron or others )
and proton pump inhibitor ( as omeprazole or others ) with sips of water on empty
stomach, after which she has to keep her stomach empty for an hour.

- Following above measures, she can take clear liquids as boiled water, lemon juice,
coconut water, butter milk, organic tea, coffee in fractions for following 2-3 hours.

- When she does not vomit after the above, you can allow her organic fresh fruits, rice,
dal, mung.

- All contents of spicy, oily, non veg, dairy fat have to be strictly avoided.
