What Causes Extreme Pain In Both Arms Followed By Both Ankles At The Same Time Along With Bruising All Over My Legs And Torso?

Question: what causes extreme pain to start in both arms at the same time then in both ankles at the same time all include bruising all over my legs and torso. No exercise, heaving lifting or accident to blame this one.

I do have fibromyalgia that I was diagnosed with in 2000. However, these new flares are much different that any fibromyalgia pain I've ever had. Both arms at exactly the same time hurt so bad it wakes me up. I have a 'hot' spot on my neck that I can't even touch because of the pain. and the bruising is not common to my fibromyalgia issues. My regular doc seemed to focus on fibromyalgia without listening to me trying to convince him that this was different. It has been going on for about 3 weeks. I went in on the 14th, got a toradol shot but it has worsened in intensity and in frequency since that visit.

Brief Answer:
Probably fibromyalgia symptoms, tramadol use can make the pain worse.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I am sorry that you are experiencing so much pain. I think the major part of your pain is caused by fibromyalgia. There are several medications that you can take to cope with every day pain.

Some suggestion about the treatment are:
-You can continue using baclofen as for pain relief.
-Opioids such as Tramadol are not recommended for fibromyalgia. They don't work, and they may even make the pain worse.
-You can also use muscle muscle relaxants to treat the symptoms.

You should discuss with your doctor about these medications because they are on prescription.

I also suggest you to control glycemia level to rule out any diabetes which can aggravate the symptoms.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
