Question: What do these results indicate?
My daughter who is 4 had a triple scope for chronic croup/stridor, chronic cough, GERD, etc.
Upon scoping her lower resp tract, the surgeon noted “ RML orifice with significant narrowing, appeared edematous and extremely friable. Other airways patent, normal anatomy” so he performed a XXXXXXX
These are her culture results: XXXXXXX Culture: Mixed respiratory flora
Direct Gram Stain: Moderate WBC’s
Direct Gram Stain: few squamous epithelial cells
Direct gram stain: rare gram positive cocci

We have a CT for her lung scheduled tomorrow morning. Her pulmonologist is part of one of the only two aerodigestive teams in the state and is very hard to get ahold of (understandably).
What conditions could cause this RML narrowing? And if the RML is showing the inflammation, is it normal to do the XXXXXXX on the RLL instead, like they did for her?
