                                    Brief Answer:
Black Eye
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
The swelling which is dark and under his eyes is because of the trauma to the head, it is commonly called black eye. It is because the subcutaneous tissue of the head is in continuation around the eye as well
It is of no harm, no treatment is required for it and it will resolve on its own slowly in about 3- 4 weeks.
However if he notices blurring of vision or pain please approach an ophthalmologist immediately
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
I wish your son a speedy recovery
Regards
