Question : My son fell and hit his head on the dryer and than the trash can which caused nine stiches. He has swelling under the eye like blood bags

Brief Answer: Black Eye Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for the query The swelling which is dark and under his eyes is because of the trauma to the head, it is commonly called black eye. It is because the subcutaneous tissue of the head is in continuation around the eye as well It is of no harm, no treatment is required for it and it will resolve on its own slowly in about 3- 4 weeks. These look like blood bags. Is that different than black eye syndrome
