Question : I’ve experienced pain while urinating for three weeks. I’m a 34 year old male with a history of kidney stones including two endoscopic surgeries to remove them. The pain is limited to the left side of the urethra below the tip of the penis and feels similar to when i recovered from that surgery which was last done two years ago. I was just wondering what the most likely causes of the pain are and what you think I should do.
Brief Answer:
Could be due to narrowing (Stricture)of terminal part of urethra
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Based on the facts that you have posted and history of undergone two endoscopic surgeries for removal of stone pain while passing urine at the tip of the urethra could be most likely to be due to narrowing of terminal part of urethra (Fassa Navicularis ) which is very common to occur due to trauma to delicate urethral mucosa by instrumentation during endoscopic surgery.
Consult qualified Urologist for assessment and may need to do endoscopic examination and dilatation.
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
