Question : why newborns vomit right after Breast feeding?
Brief Answer:
Inadequate burping....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Newborn create suction pressure while breastfeeding to help them feed milk from breast. The suction pressure also make them swallow air along with milk into the stomach. And if they are not burped adequately the air along with milk from the stomach is regurgitated (vomited). If the baby is passing stools, is active and gaining weight / growth, the vomiting spells is not abnormal.
You can prevent vomiting after breast feeding by burping the baby immediately after feeds for 15-20 minutes. Good burping prevents vomiting.
Hope I am clear. Let me know if you need clarifications
