Question : will a dental root implant affect my bite?
one TMJ specialist said removing a tooth and having an implant replace the root portion would act as an anchor and get in the way of him realigning my jaw for TMJ issues. this same doctor also has me in a 24/7 bottom mouth brace to shift my jaw together over time. two dentists say hes wrong, the periodotist removing the tooth and another general dentist.

                                    Brief Answer:
Well, depends on your bite and TMJ status
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Thanks for writing to us..
Well, if you get an Implant done then at times it can help in creating appropriate bite and occlusion and will not always causes an exaggeration of your TMJ problem..
So you can consult an Implantologist and get checked and appropriate treatment can be advised accordingly..
Please let me know if you have more queries.
Thanks.
