“Why Does My Finger Wound Smell Faintly Like Vinegar After A Nail Injury?

hello?
i am currently wearing a set of acrylics and have bent one of my nails back resulting in half of my nail been ripped off of my skin underneath i have had this happen many of time and know what to do to keep it clean but have always wondered why when i change my plaster my finger/wound faintly smells like vinegar?
