17yr Old. Prescribed Crestor For Cholesterol. Causing Cramps, Muscle Spasm. Changed To Aspavor. Safe?
Hi, My daughter is 17 years old. The dr prescribed crestor for her cholesterol . She s been drinking it for appr 6 months. She had a ankle operation last year, and could only return to sports January 13. She had lots of cramps and muscle spasm , which I eventually traced back to the crestor. (on the internet) This has cost her her athletic season. The cramps etc, is not gone yet, but better, and with the knowledge of where it comes from, makes it easier on her. She still excercises hard for the hockey season. The dr changed it now to aspavor . I can t get any information on this. I m really scared now to give her anything like this again. What should I do ?
Both belong to the same class (family) of statin / there will not be much difference.

Discuss with your doctor.
