18 Weeks Pregnant, Had Dark Brown Spotting And Cramps. No Baby Movement Since. Advice?

18 weeks pregnant, little bit of dark brown spotting yesterday, very full feeling and tightness from constipation and/or growing uterus . One weird, mild cramp , higher up in my stomach for about 15 seconds. Finally had bowel movement last night with ease that relieved pressure and fullness, but no movement from baby since then till almost noon now. No more spotting. Baby had been very active this week. Last week heard heartbeat strong and found quickly. Left msg for dr and now waiting, any advice?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Some amount of constipation is common in pregnancy.
With your doctor's advice you can take laxative syrup in the nights. And take plenty of water, fruits, vegetables etc.
Usually baby's movements will be better appreciated after 20 weeks in case of first pregnancy, In case of multi they can be felt better in 18 weeks itself.
Till you consult your doctor you take bed rest as much as possible.

Take care.
