1.9 Years Baby Suffering From Itching & Smelly Discharge From Right Ear. What Is The Reason And Treatment Of This Symptom ?

my babygirl is 21 months old, i think she is suffering from itching problem with her ears, recently at mid night she wake up, crying ,feeling unrest and itching her ear, and when i use cotton bud notice smelly brown discharge from her right ear, what is the reason and treatment of this symptom ?

As per History the baby seem suffering from otitis media. For this u require to get evaluated for condition and then treatment as analgesics, antibiotics ear drops n oral. Please visit the ENT surgeion for detail examination and treatment.

Hi,

This is one of the commonest childhood problems. It can be as a result of wax collected in the ear canal or any middle ear infection secondary to common cold or upper respiratory tract infection. Please, do not use ear buds or any ear drops without consulting your ENT specialist.
