2-3 Sinus Infection Every Year. Take Steroid Shots With Antibiotics. Some Common Steroids Names?

I am a 38 yr old healthy male that gets 2-3 nasty sinus infections per year. When I go to the dr they usually give me a IM shot of a steroid in my hip with an antibiotic course of Meds. The shot seems thick, milky and white. What are the names of some of the common ones used to treat the body to help kick start the system?

Steroids suppress the immune system. That is why they give in transplant cases.
They can worsen an infection.
They can kick - not kick start the system...Beware!
They help in allergy.
They have a lot of other side effects - like muscle weakness, bone thinning, raising sugar and so on. It should NOT be taken except under medical supervision.
There are several steroids available and each one has several proprietary names - the list runs to more than a hundred!
