23 Year Old With Orchitis. No Fever Or Dysurea. On Cefalexin And Metronidazole. Proper Treatment?

Hello, I am 23 years old male, I ve been diagnosed as having orchitis (US showed mild left tesicular hetrogenous enlargment and GUE showed 6 pus cells plus monilia, Epithelial cells and Urethral mucosa) , but I am have no any sexual relation ships ( virgin ) and I don t have any systemic symptoms as fever or dysurea, and my doctor prescribed Cefalexin and Metronidazole , it the treatment right ?

Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been diagnosed to have infection of the testicle ( Orchitis) confirmed by ultrasound scanning and has been advised to take Cefalexin and metronidazole.
Both these drugs will help to combat infection .
Please take anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily along with these drugs that will help to subside the swelling and pain in testicle.
Ensure to drink more water,
Dr.Patil.
