27 Weeks Pregnant. Ultrasound Shows Baby Is In Cephalic Presentation. Possibility Of Normal Delivery?

Dear Dr, I am 27 weeks pregnant with my first baby. My ultrasound says my baby is in cephalic presentation fundal placenta grade 1, normohydramnios. Is it posible to deliver it normally? I have a blood pressure of 90/70 and I feel dizzy in the morning with slight head ache. My gynecologist gave me a Drexabion vitamin B complex+iron +folic acid. She suggest also to have some sweets if i feel dizzy. Is alright to have sweets? any foods you think is best? Thanks.

Hi,
Your ultrasonogram is corresponding to your gestational age and is normal. The possibility of a normal vaginal delivery depends on several factors like the fetal position at the time of delivery, the progress of labor, the maternal condition and so on. It can be predicted by an examination at term. The cause of your dizziness could be due to the low blood pressure which is normal during the second trimester; hypoglycemia early in the morning can also be accounted for. You can take electrolytes and glucose to avoid dizziness; anemia also can lead to similar symptoms and if present, should be corrected. You should take fresh fruits and vegetables with sufficient water. Hope this helps. Wish you a safe motherhood.
