37 Days Late On Period After C Section

My baby was born on may 18, 2011. It is now august 30, 2011 and I haven t gotten another menstruation since july 24. I have taken four pregnancy tests and all came out negative. What could be the problem? I am 21 yrs old with no history of any types of cancers in my family.

If you are breast feeding there is less chance of getting periods because breast feeding releases hormones which usually prevent ovulation and menses till about 6-8 months. You must breast feed your baby nothing but breast milk for 4-6 months and then start weaning using soft diet. Nothing to worry. Eat healthy. Avoid taking any medicine without medical advice. Stay fit and healthy.

Hi,thanks for query.Normally after delivery by any methods you do not get your periods till about 4-6 months,if you are breast feeding your child, this could be even longer. There is no need to worry. What you had might be some removal waster products from the uterus which normally lasts for about 2-3 weeks after delivery. For more information please visit your doctor.
wishing you good health.
