37 Weeks Pregnant, Baby S Head Down, Yellowish Jelly Type Discharge, Frequent Urination. Is This Close Prelude To Labor?

I am 37+5 wks pregnant with my 3rd child & am a bit fuzzy on similarities to the other pregnancies. My baby is head down & 4/5 as at last visit to midwife. I have been losing sml yellowish/white jelly type discharge for about a week now & am having to urinate about every 1/2hr of sml amounts. Is this a close prelude to labour. I have been told 3rd babies don't necessarily have to engage or my waters break to be in labour.

Hello & thanks for posting on HCM.
Only during first pregnancy baby's head needs to get engaged in pelvis prior to onset of labour but on subsequent occasions head may get engaged during labour - white yellow jelly like discharge is due to overactive mucosal glands as long as you are not having any itching/ blood stain to discharge
Frequency of urination is related to pressure on bladder but the most imp feature of onset of labour is starting to get pains which typically come from back & then spread to front & sides of abdomen with hardening of uterine wall - they will be intermittent to start off with but with further progression they can get intense & also come more frequently - but waters may break just before labour is fully established OR they may break during labour.
Hope all goes well & thanks again
