46 Days Old Baby Is Suffering From Thyroid. Now He Is Taking One Eltroxin Tab/day. Is It Right ?

hi doc. I am from bd. I have a boy. now he is 46 days . he is suffering from thyroid. his TSH is 23.81. wait is 5.300kg. can u please tell me how can i care him.now he take tab. eltroxin par day 1 tablet. is it right ?

hello mrs kanak. your child is definitely having thyroid problem and probably you must be also be having it and taking medicines during antinatal period.TSH is high ,you must soon consult endocrinologist who will calculate the dose of hormonal drugs and shall prescribe to your baby.It is possible to give it long time and frequently monitor blood report. All the best.
