5 Weeks Pregnancy Medically Aborted, Brown Discharge. Successfully Aborted?

hai doc,

i was 5 week pregnant and suddenly it started bleeding and i passed out clot of size twenty pence then it started to bleed brown which was just like thick threads and it existed. i was given medical abortion after consultation the next week. but then to the brown discharge continued and i again passed a clot of twenty pence only once and there was also discharge of mucus like only once. the bleeding stopped now. 2 weeks passed now. i was adviced to test for my pregnancy this 11 of june and 18 of june. my query is that had i successfully been aborted or not. kindly reply me pls.

Hi ! If the bleeding has stopped, there is no more brownish discharge and no cramps in the abdomen, possibly you have aborted successfully. However, to be sure your gynaecologist may advise you a serum HCG estimation or an ultrasound abdomen. Wishing you an early recovery.
