6 Weeks Pregnant, Brownish Spotting. Scan Shows Irregular Sac, No Fetal Pole. Suggestions?

Hello doctor. I am 28yrs old. I already had 1st missed abortion. Now after 6 months i m pregnant.yesterday i saw browish spotting which made me worried. I went for ultrasound and found that my gestational sac is irregular and there was no fetal pole or yolk sac observed.I am 6 weeks pregnant. My doctor said there is 50%- 50% chances. I m taking progestrone capsule, duphaston tablet, and HUGCo 5000 injection. Doctor said to wait for 1 week and to have another ultrasound. suggest me something. i m very much worried.

Hi,
I am very sorry to say that your pregnancy looks unhealthy this instance also. Yet, a conclusion can be arrived at only after a follow up and until then, let us not lose hope. A repeat sonogram, preferably through the trans-vaginal route coupled with estimation of serum beta-hCG titres on alternate days can help a lot to monitor the fate of this pregnancy properly. Doubling titres even in the absence of a definite fetal pole suggest good prognosis. So, please wait and watch and try to remain stress-free. Wish you good luck.
