7th Month Of Pregnancy, Tests Showed High TSH, Advised Eltroxcin. Is It Safe For The Baby?

I did thyroid test in 7th month of pregnancy from Relligare and it was T3 & T4 was normal but TSH is high with 17.79, so I consult with the Doctor and he suggest for clear TSH test and it come 8.3 in Clear TSH. Doctor advice for Eltroxcin 50mcg. Please advice, whether it is safe for child and there any risk for baby in mind development. Regards

Hi,
As you have been diagnosed to have hypothyroidism in 7th month, there is very minimal to no risk for baby in mind development if you regularly continue Eltroxin. So no need to worry.
