A Blob Has Been Noticed On The Lower Right Lung

blob on ct scan lower lung
hi, im 37 yrs old weight roughly 172.( haven't lost the baby weight ) 5'5. had a ct scan with contrast done for kidney stones and was told I need to call my family dr. about a blob that was seen on lower right lung. should I be worried?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Since you are not having any respiratory symptoms, no need to worry much for CT scan report.
Blob like thing in your CT scan report can be due to any of the following.
1. Simple benign lung cyst.
2. Sequestration of right lower lobe.
3. Fibrosis or absent right lower lobe etc.
All these are benign conditions and thus no symptoms are experienced.
As they are harmless to the body, no treatment is required.
Lung biopsy is needed for confirmation of the blob.
