My 13 year old son has episodes of dizziness, nausea, and has been diagnosed with migraines this past December. His blood pressure was elevated, 131/85, the last three doctor visits. The dizziness or nausea come on all of a sudden, usually at school or at church, then subside. There is a history of anxiety disorders and migraines in the family. He takes ibuprofen as needed for migraine. Lately, he complains of dizziness or nausea, goes to the school nurse and lies down, or has to sit down in church. Once at home, he is fine. He is not active, is overweight, and plays video games. I am concerned that it is anxiety-related. He is being followed by a neurologist for a pituitary microadenoma that has been stable since April 2011. He also has an IEP with accommodations in school for executive functioning deficiencies. He also has Aarskog-Scott Syndrome.
