15 weeks ago I started having severe abdominal pain and nausea. I went to the urgent care after having the pain for 2 days. They took a urine sample and said that I had a severe uti. Lots of blood and bacteria. Did a CT scan and found no stones. They did 3 days of intravenous anti-biotics and fluids to flush my kidneys. After the 3 days, they gave me a 10 day anti-biotic prescription. I followed up with my GP and she said we would do another urine sample 5 days after the 10 day supply was finished. Still bleeding during this time. Urine sample still showed blood. She referred me to a urologist. The urologist took urine sample, still blood and small bacteria in the urine. He did an in office procedure to check my bladder and sent me for another CT scan with contrast. Bladder looked good, CT scan looked good. He now felt that the blood was coming from the vagina. I did a careful check and it for sure was vaginal. Since I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago, I never suspected blood from this area. Nothing left but the cervix. I went to an OB/GYN and they found sutchers at the top of the vagina. He couldn t tell if the cervix was still there and wondered why there were still sutchers. He said that he needs to see the surgical report from the hysterectomy from 4 years ago. I m waiting for this all to be faxed to my doctor. Still in pain, have nausea and bleeding. I m very tired, depressed and just want to know what s going on and how to fix it. The doctor that did the hysterectomy told me that I had dissolvable stitches and never said anything about leaving some in there. They also found that when I went to the OB/GYN that there was blood in the urine. They used a catheter to eliminate the possibility of the blood from the vagina getting into the urine flow. Also, I didn t have sex over all these years until about 2 months before this all started. I only had sex a few times since it was painful and I wasn t really into it. My new partner has been more than patient through all of this. My questions are. 1. Has there been some type of prolapse of something? 2. Why are there undissovable stiches inside of me? 3. Is is possible my bladder has a small tear since there is blood in the urine? 4. Anything else you can think of to help me out. I am going out of my mind over this and am severely depressed and ill.
