Abnormal Heartbeat, Dizziness, Breathing Difficulty Even While Resting. Family History Of Heart Disease. Suggestion?

doc. im feeling something is happening to me that i cant understand, my heartbeat is not that normal. there are times that im feeling dizzy, times that i am having a hard time breathing and mostly times that my . heart is beating too fast even if im just lying in bed , . please help me i dont know what to do . my granfather died because of he is having a heart desease that is inborn ,.my grandmother also had a heart problem

Thanks for writing to us.

In all probabality, the irregular heart beats that you are now referring to is termed as "Arrhythmia"in Medical parlance.This inturn leads to erratic blood supply (especially to brain) which would have lead to dizziness.

Kindly consult a locally available Physician to undergo clinical examination(General and Systemic) followed by a resting 12 leads ECG /Echo cardiography and in all probability reveals the type of heart disease you may be suffering whether it is a heart beat disorder or associated with hypertrophy of chambers with reduced ejection fraction etc.,

Depending upon the advice of your treating physician ,kindly consult an experienced Cardiologist for further management.
