i am 32 year old female with not children, but I have a had a period since I was ten years every month, suddenly after September 18, 2013 was my last period and the urine and blood test show negative since three weeks ago, I am concerned, I have nausea, back pain and swollen breast. what should I do?\
There are different potential causes for delayed or irregular period. Some causes are:(1) inadequate diet (2) emotional stress (3)physical stress or illness (4)abnormal levels of thyroid hormone (5)high levels of prolactin hormone (6)polycystic ovarian syndrome (7)pregnancy
If you are sexually active you should consider a pregnancy test.
If this is negative or you are not sexually active then you consider an assessment by your doctor. This would consist of physical examination and blood tests.
