Advice For Cold And Sinus Infection,on Amoxicillin
i've been on amoxicillin five days for sinus infection and cold that wouldn't go away withinsianal nehurnea otc expectorant. i also had some tailbone pain in the last several months, but it's gone from mild to moderate. since being on the antibiotic, I've had loss of appetite because of extreme nausea. Also experiencing a heaviness/weakness in my legs since being on antis. Any advice? thank you. CONNIE G -- I'm 60. I used to ice skate (took a few 'controlled' falls), but that was in the mid-90s.
If your sinusitis is not responding to amoxicillin, most probably the organisms causing the infection are resistant to it. I would suggest you get a prescription for a broad spectrum antibiotic from your treating doctor for faster recovery. I would also suggest steam inhalation to relieve the pressure in the sinuses and aid drainage. Tail bone pain has to be examined by an orthopedician. Weakness, nausea and vomiting are common when on medications. All these symptoms will reduce once you recover. Take a healthy diet and drink adequate water. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Thanks.
