Advice On Cleaning Of Ointment From Eyes

Hi...My son accidentally hurt his face with a toy and it has caused a minor cut a bit below his eyes at the start so the cheek bone..doc checked and prescribed t bacteria (mupirocin 2%)..he is 11 months old and he accidentally rubbed his face and a little bit of ointment got smudged...I dabbed wet cotton on his eyes with water and wiped it...no reaction as yet...shud I do anything more?

A minor contact usually does not cause much trouble.Wash thoroughly with clean water.Watch for few hours.If no redness/itching/excessive watering,you need not worry.Else,you please go and see your ophthalmologist.
