Advise If Polio Drops Can Be Administered When Stomach Infection Is Present

Hi. My son is 9 months old. His second dose of pulse polio immunization is due today (Feb 2016). Past three he had mild fever (due to stomach infection) and loose motions (motions are better now). All his other immunizations are on track. Should I give him the drops?

Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
Yes Polio drops can be given if there are loose motions but the dose can't be counted.
Give him ORS after each loose stool. Once It subsided take him for Polio drops.
Hope it helps best.
