Advised Prozac Syrup, Suspected To Have Clinical Depression. How Safe Is It?

hi ... my son 16 years old has been advised by the doctor to take 5 ml of prozac syrup as he is suspected to have clinical depression .I want to know how safe is it and should i take a second opinion before starting this or is it ok to go ahead and start like the doctor says
