After A Missed Period, Will Taking Mt Pills Help In Avoiding Pregnancy?

I have two times period in last month 21st august and again 8th sept.i was expecting my periods on 8th oct.last night i do strip test bcoz i was feeling some signs of pregnancy and its positive.i hv my 8months baby and itd ceasarian.i have taken mtpill.is it sure dat it l work.plz help me

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
You should not take tablets without consulting doctor.
That too as you had cesarean section, you have to be more careful.
Tablets can help to terminate the pregnancy upto 7 to 8 weeks.
After taking tablets it may take around 24 to 48 hours for the onset of bleeding.
After onset of bleeding it may take around 48 hours to complete the process of abortion.
If you get excessive pain or heavy bleeding consult gynecologist immediately and go for ultrasound.
After stoppage of bleeding also, better to go for ultrasound once to rule out any retained products.
Then go for some regular contraceptive method to avoid pregnancy till the time you want to postpone.
