After Using Betamil Gm Noticed Rashes & Itching On Face

hello sir,im 29 yr old male..im using Betamil gm tube in my face frm last 5-6 years..now if i dont use daily in my face i got rashes,inching problem and even ance come in my face...im addcited to this cream now ...wht should i do? i want to stop using this cream in my face..kindly help me

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Betamil GM cream contains a combination of a steroid Betamethasone , antibiotic Gentamycin and antifungal Miconazole..
Long term use of steroid based creams leads to steroid dependence of skin and when the use is stopped it leads to withdrawal symptoms like itching, rashes etc..
I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can advise you a tapering method of withdrawal of steroid cream to reduce the severity of withdrawal effects..
You can be adovied to taper down the application by using the cream for a week regularly followed by using it every alternate day and gradually reducing the usage and finally stopping it..
You can also take anti allergics like levocetrizine to relieve itching and rashes as well as you can do cool compresses on face and apply calamine lotion to soothe the skin..
