Hi Sujoy,

The palpitations, breathlessness and insomnia after a heavy bout of drinking occurred because you were having withdrawal from alcohol. In addition, alcohol also causes gastritis. Withdrawal symptoms usually improve in a week to ten days after last alcohol intake. If they have not started improving, then you may need to see a doctor to assess if any other cause may be responsible. For burning sensation in the chest, you may need to take antacids and proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole, pantoprazole etc. Also stay away from fried, spicy and fatty foods and alcohol till you are well. Please also avoid heavy drinking in future.

Hope this helps you. Best wishes.
