Alcoholic. Gamma Level Reached Limit, Raised ALT Level.Liver Cancer Or Cirrhosis?

Hi, my mother has had a blood test and one of the results is her gamma level had reached 1128, she also has raised alt result. Sha has lost weight and has diaorha. She drinks heavily and has done for years. How serious is her result ?How much damage has been done to the liver? Could this be liver cancer or cirohis?

I understand your concern.
Gamma globulins are antiboies which in tandem with other antibodies gives body its resistance.
Gamma levels are not that high to be alarmed.
above 1400, may be worrysome.
High level are indicative of acute hepatitis, multiple slerosis or even AIDS.
But it needs to be interprete by a qualified physician, who along with so many other pathologicl results, can only interpret what the condition of the patient.
