Am I At The Risk For Hear Attack By Not Taking Lisinopril Which Is Causing Fatigue And Constant Cough?

I will be 66 in 10 days and have been taking Lisinopril 10mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg for 2 years. I haven t taken my pills for 10 days and my blood pressure is 124/74 rate rate varies to 100 at rest. I feel ok but am worried with the resting heart rate. I do experience while on the pill lots of fatigue, hair loss and constant cough, dizzy. Am I at risk for heart attack by not taking the Lisinopril?

Hi welcome to hcm
I understand your query and concern.
You should never stop taking Anti hypertensives without discussing with your doctor. If you have side effects with the drug, you can change your blood pressure medication to Telmisartan by discussing with your doctor.Monitor your blood pressure regularly.Get an ECG,2 D Echo, lipid profile as apart of your routine checkup.I also advise you to get serum electrolytes, blood sugars, serum electrolytes, chest x ray to rule out any co existent diseases.I advise you to use lipid lowering drugs, anti platelets once abnormality detected.Restrict your salt intake to Post your further queries if any,
