Hi,i took Althea pills last January and had a period last Jan.23 which is on the 3rd day of the 7day rest..and i finished that 7th day rest.. And i continue to take Diane pills last Jan 28 ...we had sexual intercourse with my bf last feb.10,am i safeThank u

Hi,

Althea and Diane pills are both a combined hormonal type contraceptives, used for birth control. Also, both of these pills have the same ingredients. Therefore, in my opinion, you are equally protected against pregnancy, even if you switch over from one to another, provided there is no gap in between the last tablet of one and start of first tablet of other.
