Am I Still Pregnant If I Am Bleeding After Stopping Birth Control Pill And Having Unprotected Sex?

I stopped taking my pill on Friday (mid way through the pack) I had unprotected sex both Friday and Saturday in hope of falling pregnant, but yesterday I started bleeding, however it wasnt a lot and is very pink when it is usually dark, could I still be pregnant?

Hello
Thanks for your health query.
No, the chances of your being pregnant are very low.
What you experienced is most probably a withdrawal bleed in response to stopping the pack mid cycle.
In order to plan a pregnancy properly, stop the pack when it is over.
Start planning from conception from the next cycle.
Take regular prenatals or atleast folic acid supplements meanwhile.
It is never a good ideal to stop the pill pack midcycle.
All the best.
In the rare event that you DO skip the next period, do take a pregnancy test just to be sure.
Take care.
